HOW DID I GET INTO THE BREED??????
My name is Linda Fitzgerald. I own and show our great dogs and have for the past 5 years. I switched breeds when my beloved foundation Rottie bitch left us and my son turned me on to the APBT. Since I love the thrill of competition, I compromised with him by purchasing our first AmStaff from a Back Yard Breeder in Georgia. (Ben Mar/Fraja/ Circle C-out of-Reeses/Willy's) Since he wanted a blue, and there were absolutely NO Blues available here in the Jersey area, we drove the distance and picked up our beloved Alize` (Alize` Intoxicating Bleu, AKC Reg). His show career took off with quite a few AKC, and UKC wins. With a Group 4 at Valley Forge in 2005, we were on our way to stardom!! Unfortunately, lack of participation in AKC in this breed, and personal finances has prevented us from finishing him. Still, he is absolutely gorgeous at the ripe old age of 6.
